SEOUL (VNS)— A Korean man in Hongcheon District in South Korean's Gangwon Province committed suicide after killing his Vietnamese wife, local police said yesterday.
The 36-year-old man choked his wife to death after an argument and later poisoned himself using toxic drugs, according to the police investigation.
The couple was later discovered at their house by the man's mother who called local police on Tuesday.
The deceased wife, who has been identified as Ngo Thi Nga, 21, was a native of northern Hai Phong Port City. She was reported to arrive in South Korea in late 2012. The couple has a five-month-old child. — VNS
