HA NOI (VNS) — The Ministry of Transport will organise, for the first time, an examination early next year to select the new director general for the Viet Nam Road Administration.
Following a decision on the pilot project, approved by minister Dinh La Thang, those who are heads of department and director generals of the ministry's corporations are eligible to sit for the exam. The ministry said the project would open the opportunity to bring high ranking positions to all, and improve the quality of the staff.
The current acting director general of the administration is to retire by late next year.
