Upgrades continue on VN-Korea IT college

DA NANG  (VNS) — The second stage of a US$6.2 million project to upgrade the Viet Nam-Korea Friendship Information Technology College began yesterday.

The college, built in 2007 with ODA funding of $10 million from the South Korean government, has been a major training centre for skilled IT workers and technicians, serving FDI enterprises in the central region.

The second stage of the upgrade will include the establishment of a new IT centre and laboratory, provision of new educational training equipment and development of new academic programmes.

The South Korean government will provide $3.6 million for the second stage, and the Vietnamese government will contribute the remaining $2.6 million.. — VNS
