HA NOI (VNS)— Save the Children in Viet Nam has distributed 1,500 gifts, valued at VND644 million (US$3,000) to flood victims in the central province of Quang Ngai.
Packages, including clothes, books and other essential commodities, were delivered on November 30 to single mothers, pregnant women, handicapped people, vulnerable pupils and poor households in Hanh Tin Dong and Hanh Tin Tay villages in Nghia Hanh District of Quang Ngai Province.
The province also received a grant of VND1 billion (nearly $50,000) from the domestic Sacombank to rebuild destroyed houses for local residents. — VNS
