DAK LAK (VNS)— A herd of 20 elephants attacked and destroyed crops in Ea Sup Town of Central Highland Dak Lak Province on Thursday.

The elephants, unable to find food in Ea Sup Thuong Lake, ambushed the Ea Sup Ha Lake area to feast on rice, corn and cassava crops being cultivated for harvest.

Residents attempted to deter the elephants but were unsuccessful, with the herd continuing its rampage through the area. Ten households have been evacuated and a warning has been issued to local residents. . — VNS
