HA NOI (VNS)— The Health Ministry's Drug Administration on Thursday requested its agencies to start checking medicine imported into Viet Nam by foreign pharmaceutical companies before they are sold on the market.
The directive applies to companies that previously produced substandard medicinal products for import to Viet Nam.
The results are expected to be announced within 15 days after the agencies take adequate samples and importers meet medicinal testing requirements.
The move came after management authorities recently detected and recalled batches of substandard medicinal imports. The order will take effect on October 1.— VNS
