HCM CITY (VNS)— More than 160 volunteers donated about 208 units of blood in HCM City on Wednesday as part of a drive by the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Viet Nam to celebrate the World Blood Donor Day.
The event was organised by AmCham in co-operation with the HCM City Humanitarian Blood Donation Centre under the HCM City chapter of the Viet Nam Red Cross and the HCM City Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion.
The campaign is being organised in two stages, the first one on Wednesday and the second on the first two days of August.
It is expected that around 1,000 volunteers will join the drive this year, up from 700 last year. — VNS
