HA NOI — The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) has officially opened a bureau in Tel Aviv, Israel, raising the number of its overseas bureaus to 30.
Together with the Cairo-based bureau in Egypt, the Tel Aviv bureau will help VNA cover promptly, accurately and objectively the diverse life in the Middle East, which is seen as a hot spot in the world's news arena.
Besides, the new office will help better reflect Vet Nam's developing relations with Middle East countries at a time when it is speeding up its international integration.
In recent years, two-way trade between Viet Nam and the Middle East countries increased strongly. Last year, trade with Israel reached US$439 million, up 17 percent from 2011. — VNS
