HAI PHONG (VNS)— Nearly 400 candidates participated in a three-day online exam to become civil servants, starting on Monday in northern Hai Phong City.
It was the first locality to recruit people to work in State agencies via online tests, Tran Anh Tuan, Deputy Minister told Lao Dong (Labour) newspaper.
The recruitment process took place after the Government issued a decision to encourage online tests for civil servants to remove shortcomings in the written process, he said.
The candidates would do online tests of English, computer science and major subjects. They would get their scores soon after they finished their tests.
The online recruitment software was compiled by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Deputy director of the city's Home Affairs Department Trinh Van Minh said that the department would choose 156 suitable candidates to work for the district-level People's Committee and local departments.
According to Tuan, Ha Noi City and northern mountainous Tuyen Quang Province were expected to be the next localities to recruit civil servants via online tests.
The ministry has continued perfecting the online recruitment software to ensure candidates take online tests for all subjects by 2015. — VNS
