HA NOI (VNS)– Ha Noi Police will visit all local communes to advise car owners how to claim ownership of cars they have bought without sales certificates.
This is in line with Circular 12 from the Ministry of Public Security, Colonel Nguyen Duy Ngoc, deputy director of the Police Department announced on Tuesday.
Accordingly, local police will give every household forms for vehicle transfer. These will be certified before being returned to residents by district police.
Ngoc promised that documents relating to vehicle transfer would be dealt with the day they were submitted.
The act proceeds from a model introduced by Phuc Tho District Police at the beginning of this month. It received many compliments from the public.
Since Circular 12 was adopted last week, Police have received more than 7,000 dossiers of vehicle transfer.
The new process simplifies transfer procedures making easier for second or third vehicle owners who do not know the original owners.
The circular demands that all car owners have ownership legitimate papers. Vehicles that have been transferred many times without original certificates can register for new ownership until December 31 next year. —VNS
