As of yesterday, a total number of human infections in China reached 14 with 6 (needs update by the end of the day) of these fatal.

On Thursday afternoon, a working team, led by Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long, checked the monitoring for prevention and quarantine on the bird flu at Ha Noi's Noi Bai International Airport.

The monitoring system was established right after fatalities in China were reported. Passengers arriving into Viet Nam will be required to pass through an airport X-ray body scanner that detects abnormal body temperatures. — VNS
