HCM CITY(VNS)— US company National Instruments yesterday signed an agreement with the HCM City-based International University's biomedical engineering department to provide hardware and software and training for its faculty.
Professor Vo Van Toi, the department's chair, said the tie-up would help the department acquire the world's most advanced educational laboratory tools.
This would enable teachers, students, and researchers to accelerate learning and innovation in all aspects of biomedical engineering from research and development and design to application of medical devices.
This could contribute to improving healthcare diagnosis and treatment in Viet Nam, he added.
The university was the first in Viet Nam to offer an accredited degree in bio-medical engineering.-VNS
