HCM CITY (VNS)— The Italian and Spanish embassies in Viet Nam announced on Wednesday that they are collaborating with the outsourcing company VFS Global to set up a new visa application centre in HCM City.
When the Schengen Visa Application Centre (SVAC) opens on January 3, applicants will no longer have to go to Ha Noi.
The SVAC will accept and process applications for visas if the first port of entry or longest stay is in Italy or Spain.
The centre will work from 8:30am to 4pm on weekdays, and offer email support and home delivery of passports.
There will be separate submission facilities for travel agents and individuals.
The company will charge a small service fee to users.
VFS Global is a global outsourcing and technology services specialist for diplomatic missions and governments, and has centres in 87 countries. — VNS
