DA NANG (VNS)— Nine Chinese citizens face expulsion from Da Nang City after investigators found evidence they had violated Vietnamese law by illegally trading animal innards.
The group are alleged to have brought 500 kilos of pigs' intestines into the city between September 15-17. The products were then processed and packed by Thai An Company in an industrial zone.
Police investigators found that the group had been buying large quantities of pigs' organs from locals and sending them back to China for sale since 2009.
The Immigration Department in the city has submitted expulsion files to the police for nine Chinese citizens, who are alleged to have conducted business activities outside their permitted visas.
They could also face fines of between VND5-10 million each. — VNS
