HA NOI — The Viet Nam News Agency (VNA) and Quang Ninh Province yesterday signed an agreement to increase and boost VNA's coverage of the province across the agency's various publications and channels.
Speaking at the ceremony, VNA General Director Nguyen Duc Loi highly recognised the province's contribution to the country's socio-economic development. Under this agreement, VNA will further promote news concerning the province to both domestic and foreign readers.
Nguyen Van Doc, chairman of Quang Ninh Province People's Committee, said VNA had always provided comprehensive coverage on news and policies related to the province.
The agreement will be implemented between 2012-15. Accordingly, VNA will build and maitain an information web portal that focuses specifically on Quang Ninh Province in various languages.
Both sides will cooperate to bring updated information to the web portal, including new Government policies and regulations affecting the province, especially news that attracts investors, promotes socio-economic development, and updates on major projects and social policies.
VNA will also focus on promoting ceremonies, major celebrations and tourism festivals in Quang Ninh. — VNS
