VND52 billion invested in SOS Children's Village

GIA LAI – The Government of Norway has donated VND52 billion (US$2.48 million) to build accommodation and educational facilities for children with disabilities in the Central Highland province of Gia Lai's Pleiku City.

The funds will be used by the SOS Children's Villages International and include the construction of a village across an area of 29,000 square. metre, accommodation for 120 children and a kindergarten to provide education and care for 200 children.

The village aims to support disadvantaged children to access education and a safer living environment for a better future.

After the village is completed, it will receive annual financial assistance of $200,000 to $300,000 from SOS Children's Village International. – VNS
