HA NOI — A Vietnam Airlines (VNA) passenger will be fined with VND15 million (US$714) for opening the airplane's emergency exit door.
Le Van Thuan, 29, from central Thanh Hoa Province, tried to open the door on the VN1265 Vinh-HCM City flight while the plane was preparing to land on Tuesday. He explained that passengers sitting next to him had crying children, which prompted him to seek an early exit.
According to the VNA, Thuan's actions likely cost the airline $10,000. — VNS
