Update: February, 08/2012 - 09:45

HA NAM — Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan has urged northern Ha Nam Province to create breakthroughs and apply scientific and technological achievements to improve the efficiency of production, business and environmental protection.

At a working session with provincial authorities yesterday, Nhan applauded them for creating favourable conditions for businesses and asked northern Ninh Binh and Ha Nam provinces, as well as Ha Noi, to connect their cultural heritage sites into a tourism network to attract more domestic and foreign visitors.

He instructed Ha Nam and other localities to deal resolutely with the pollution of Nhue and Day Rivers to reduce environmental pollution in the province.

The provincial People's Committee proposed that the Government and relevant ministries create policies and capital for the province to implement key goals such as developing human resources and supporting agricultural production.

The province proposed that the Government approve the tourism project for Tam Chuc-Ba Sao, one of the nation's key tourism sites, and increase tourism infrastructure investment during the 2012-15 period. Provincial authorities also asked that the Government allocate capital for projects in the fields of health, education and environmental protection. — VNS
