HCM CITY — L'Oreal Viet Nam announced on Wednesday that it would continue to provide scholarships to female Vietnamese scientists under the UNESCO-L'Oreal International Fellowships Programme for Young Women in Life Sciences in 2012.
The programme started in Viet Nam in 2009. It aims to honour female scientists who made contributions to scientific development in Viet Nam.
Launched in 1998, the UNESCO-L'Oreal International Fellowships were designed to identify and reward fifteen deserving, committed and talented young women scientists, from all over the world, active in the field of life sciences.
This year, the programme will select three projects to receive awards, each worth VND200 million (US$9,523).
The deadline for submitting projects is May 31, 2012. — VNS
