Maths team does well in Argentina

HA NOI — Viet Nam's maths team came ninth in the International Mathematics Olympiad for high-school students, held in Argentina from July 4-16.

All six members of the team won medals, including one gold, three silver and two bronze in the contest that attracted the participation of 100 countries.

The gold medal winner was Dau Hai Dang from grade 12 at the High School for Gifted Students, Ha Noi National University of Education.

Silver medal winners were Nguyen Ta Duy and Nguyen Phuong Minh, who are classmates of Dang, and Nguyen Hung Tam, grade 12, Ha Noi-Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students. — VNS
