To celebrate Mid-Autumn 2017, Vincom shopping centres will feature a special festival series themed “Đến Vincom – Đón Quà đoàn viên” (Come to Vincom – To reunite).
The highlight of the festival is a spectacular “supermoon” that will rise in the sky above Vincom Mega Mall Royal City.
The “supermoon” was recognised as the largest-ever moon lamp in Việt Nam by the Việt Nam Record Organisation on September 21 during an event to light the lamp and kick off the full-moon festival which will last until October 4.
The high-powered lamp with an 8m diameter is a 3D miniature of the moon, and took more than three weeks to complete. The "supermoon" will radiate silver light over the Royal Square during the festival.
Surrounding it are more than 500 cute rabbit lights with colours changing in harmony with the melody to create a vivid yet imaginative scene at Vincom during this year’s full-moon festival.
During the September 21 opening ceremony, besides the “supermoon,” visitors to Vincom Mega Mall Royal City were also impressed with the wonderful music and dance performances. In particular, 41 moon rabbits – symbolic for 41 Vincom Centres nationwide – walked around Vincom giving lucky gifts to children.
Inspired by the idea of reunion during the full-moon festival, Vincom centres are also decorated with sparkling lanterns to make unique lantern streets.
Notably, on weekends ahead of full-moon night, Vincom will organise a “moonlit playing field” for children where they can enjoy exciting activities, such as making lantern, tò he, rabbit masks and moon cakes.
On October 4, or September 15 of the lunar calendar, the “full-moon festival” will be organised at 41 Vincom centres with the focus on a lantern parade, lion dance, performances on drums and a number of other exciting activities.
On the occasion, a number of retail stores ar Vincom centres are offering gifts and promotions to customers.
VinMart is giving discounts on a number of products such as toys, confectionery products and fruits. Customers can choose moon cakes from traditional to distinctive flavours, from Hải Hà, Kinh Đô, Hữu Nghị and Bibica, as well as Thu Hương, Long Đình, Madame Hương and Đồng Khánh, along with Maison, Dairy Queen, Baskin Robbins and Tour les Jours.
