HCM CITY (VNS)- A 28 year-old man who allegedly took three people hostage at a HCM City kindergarten in Tan Binh District was arrested this morning after nearly a two hour stand-off, said the city's police force.

The hostages, a teacher and two three-year-old children, are reported to be safe, although one child has slight injuries to his face and foot.

The kidnapper was named as Cao Quoc Huy from the central province of Quang Ngai.
