Men arrested for smuggling airguns

HA NOI — The Ha Noi Police Department has arrested two men carrying 50 airguns on an Aeroflot flight from Russia to Noi Bai International Airport.

They were found in the luggage belonging to Nguyen Van Duoc from the northern province of Nam Dinh and Nguyen Ngoc Hoan from the central province of Nghe An.

Duoc admitted that he had been hired to transport the guns, which were manufactured in the Czech Republic, to Viet Nam for sale.

Both men said they had been working as guest workers in the Czech Republic and were on their way home for a visit.
