Forgery ring busted for fake certificates

HA NOI — Three people involved in a fake certificate ring in Ha Noi have been prosecuted for counterfeiting certificates of academic merits, according to the investigative police of Dong Da District Police.

The three men, including one student and two ex-students from the Ha Noi University of Technology (HUT), were found selling fake BA, MA and PhD certificates from the Foreign Trade University in Dong Da District two weeks ago.

Investigations showed the ring had sold about 20 fake documents of both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees for VND3-15 million ($140-710). — VNS
