HA NOI — The Ministry of Public Security has rewarded 14 police departments across the country for their successful crack-down of two drug trafficking cases on April 6.
The police of various provinces and cities confiscated 14kg of heroin, packaged in 40 cakes, in the busts.
The first case was discovered in Kim Chung Commune, in Ha Noi's Hoai Duc District. Four men involved in the case were arrested. The second case, which mobilised about 70 policemen from various localities, also apprehended drug dealers and seized 30 heroin cakes.
Legal proceedings against the accused began on Monday. — VNS
