BAC LIEU — Police in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai have issued a wanted notice nation-wide for four local men, aged 19-24, for their alleged involvement in forest poaching.
The men are accused of being involved in a case detected on March 20 when local forest rangers and police confiscated more than 22cu.m of precious timber without declared origin in Kong Chro District.
Later, the police discovered tens of hectares of forestry land belonging to La Pa Forestry Company had been destroyed. They confiscated 190 felled trees estimated at up to 77cu.m of timber.
One man involved in the case has been apprehended and prosecuted. — VNS
