Can you share with us what has been prepared for the protection of the 13th National Party Congress which is scheduled to begin on January 25?

The Ministry of Public Security has done its best to ensure top security and safety for the coming 13th National Party Congress.

From June 2019, following the issuance of Instruction 35 of the Politburo, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Public Security developed detailed plans on how to protect the 13th National Party Congress.

Three senior leaders from the Ministry of Public Security have been selected as members of the sub-committee to protect security for the 13th National Party Congress.

Top security for the 13th National Party Congress has been done nationwide and in all fields.

Can you talk a little bit about the recent drills on protecting the 13th National Party Congress?

The drill which took place on January 11 was a good exercise for the security forces with the participation of tens of thousands of security officials and mobile security forces. That exercise was a demonstration of the security forces determination to protect the Party at all costs and the success of the upcoming 13th National Party Congress.

The drill was a show of force of the Vietnamese elite security forces and a demonstration of the strength and determination to foil any dark schemes.

It is said that the public security forces are well prepared for protecting the upcoming 13th National Party Congress. Can you talk a bit in detail about those that mission?

On January 10, the Public Security Forces launched an exercise on how to maintain law and order at the onset of the 13th National Party Congress.

Before and during the 13th National Party Congress, 100 per cent of the public security forces will be on alert and ready to foil any dark scheme of the enemy against the peaceful environment.

Has the ministry adopted plans to foil the enemy’s dark schemes in cyberspace ahead of the congress?

The enemy’s dark schemes in cyberspace have mainly focused on distributing slanderous information against the Communist Party of Việt Nam at the coming 13th National Party Congress.

The public security forces have adopted plans to protect the information and communications nationwide, including in cyberspace and the upcoming congress. — VNS
