Photo exhibition highlights Việt Nam-Russia traditional ties

Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev on November 19 visited a photo exhibition which featured the Việt Nam-Russia traditional relations and comprehensive cooperation.

HÀ NỘI — Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev on Monday visited a photo exhibition on Việt Nam-Russia relations.

Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev is on a visit to Việt Nam on November 18-19.

The 60-photo exhibition was held by the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the Russian News Agency TASS to mark the 60th anniversary of relations between the two news agencies, and the upcoming 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

Party Central Committee member and VNA General Director Nguyễn Đức Lợi and TASS General Director Sergey Mikhaylov introduced the two Prime Ministers to photos on the friendship and co-operation over the years. All of the photos were taken by VNA and TASS journalists.

Over 69 years, relations with Russia have been fortified in all sectors.

Notably, the comprehensive strategic partnership, which was established in 2001, has helped elevate bilateral ties to a new height, bringing benefits to both peoples and making positive contributions to regional and global peace, stability, prosperity, co-operation and development. —VNS
