HÀ NỘI – Việt Nam is deeply concerned about the test launch of a ballistic missile by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on February 12, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lê Hải Bình said to reporters yesterday.

He noted that the missile launch violated resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and increased tension in the region.

“Việt Nam pursues the consistent viewpoint of supporting all efforts promoting dialogue and maintaining peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and protesting any actions that cause tension and threaten peace, security and stability in the region and the world,” the spokesperson said.
