PHNOM PENH — National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân reiterated Việt Nam’s consistent policy of giving priority to strengthening its traditional friendship and multi-dimensional cooperation with Cambodia during a meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen in Phnom Penh yesterday. 
Ngân said Việt Nam sincerely wished to work together with Cambodia to continue developing their relations in a sustainable manner to bring visible benefits to their people. 
She said agreements reached by the countries’ leaders have been carried out quickly across fields, bringing positive results, especially in trade and investment. 
She stated that the Vietnamese NA would do its best to work with the Cambodian Upper House and legislature to continue sharing information and experience in law-making, supervision, and deciding on key country issues, as well as increase joint work to monitor the implementation of signed agreements. 
On the occasion, she expressed the wish that the Cambodian PM would continue offering support to Vietnamese nationals living in the country. 
Hun Sen, for his part, suggested the two countries should further educate the public about the tradition of friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, especially among youngsters. 
He expressed thanks to Việt Nam for providing health check-ups and treatment to residents living in border areas. 
The host took the occasion to urge Vietnamese, Lao and Cambodian border localities to increase exchanges to contribute to their socio-economic development. — VNS
