PM honours VN sports delegation

HÀ NỘI — Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc congratulated the Vietnamese sports delegation who brought glory to the home country in the Rio Olympics 2016, during a reception in Hà Nội yesterday. 
He extended his special congratulations to shooter Hoàng Xuân Vinh, who won both a gold and a silver medal at the world’s largest sporting competition. 
The PM also asked the sports sector to provide all possible support for athletes and coaches to improve their skills while effectively using State funding. 
He also required the Defence Ministry to help Colonel Vinh, who won the medals, to fulfill his assigned tasks in the near future. 
At the reception, Vinh and other athletes promised to do their best to contribute to Việt Nam’s sports in regional and global competitions. 
On the occasion, the PM presented the Labour Order, first class, to Colonel Vinh. 
The Labour Order, second class, was also awarded to chief coach of the Vietnamese shooting team Nguyễn Thị Nhung, while the Friendship Order was given to Korean shooting expert Park Chung Gun. — VNS
