HA NOI (VNS) — Secretary of the Ha Noi municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai expressed hopes that Ha Noi and Germany's Hessen state will further their bilateral partnership across education-training, vocational training, medical science and hi-tech industry.
He noted these goals during a reception for President of the Organisation for Supporting World University of Germany Kambiz Ghawami, who is also a representative of the Hessen state and heads cooperation efforts with Viet Nam.
Given its current rapid urbanisation and fast-growing population, Ha Noi wishes to learn from other cities' experience in many fields, particularly in urban transport infrastructure, education and vocational training, Hai said.
Ghawami, in reply, hailed the long-standing educational ties between Viet Nam and Germany in the past, as evidenced by the Vietnamese-German University in HCM City.
He said he hopes both sides will increase exchanges in the fields of urban transport development, science-technology, justice and waste treatment technology.
The guest vowed to work to promote bilateral ties, particularly in education and vocational training. — VNS
