China treasures ties with Viet Nam: President Jinping

BEIJING (VNS) — China attaches importance to its relations with Viet Nam and works to develop the ties sustainably, said Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping.

He made the statement yesterday in Beijing while receiving Hoang Binh Quan, special envoy of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who came to inform the host of the results of the 12th National Party Congress.

Jinping expressed his hope that the two sides will strengthen political trust, maintain high-ranking delegation exchanges, boost strategic co-operation and people-to-people diplomacy, and control disputes in order to develop the relationship between the two Parties countries.

Quan affirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State maintain their foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, co-operation and development while attaching importance to their friendship and comprehensive collaboration with the Chinese Party and State. — VNS
