HA NOI  (VNS) — Viet Nam applauded parties for obeying the commitments laid out in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) between Iran and the P5+1 (the US, the UK, Germany, France, Russia and China) regarding Iran's nuclear enrichment programme, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Hai Binh.

During a press conference yesterday, Binh said it had paved the way for removing the embargo imposed on Iran, contributing to maintaining peace and stability security in the region and the world at large.

Viet Nam hoped the parties would continue their efforts to enforce the remaining commitments of the agreement, Binh said.

On January 16, General Secretary of the International Atomic Energy Agency announced that Iran had completed the necessary preparations for implementing the JCPOA. — VNS
