Prime Minister receives Chinese security minister

HA NOI (VNS) — Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung yesterday received Chinese Minister of State Security Geng Huichang, who is on a working visit to Viet Nam.

Minister Geng informed his host on the outcome of his talks with Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang, including further co-operation in cyber security, manpower training and expert exchanges. He said his agency always worked closely with Viet Nam's Ministry of Public Security.

The Prime Minister said the two ministries had contributed to the collaboration and friendship between Viet Nam and China.

He added that the Vietnamese Government supported the two ministries' co-operation, suggesting both sides boost mutual trust through information exchanges, as well as preventing cybercrime and terrorism.

The same day, the Chinese official met with Minister of Public Security General Tran Dai Quang. — VNS
