HA NOI (VNS) – An intergovernmental joint committee on technical military co-operation between Viet Nam and Belarus held a working session in Ha Noi yesterday to review the outcomes of past collaboration and set future goals.
At the function, Deputy Minister of Defence Truong Quang Khanh highlighted progress made by the joint efforts, particularly in air force and defence.
Moving forward, manpower training, delegation exchanges and the application of advanced military technologies ought to be the focus of their robust co-operation, Khanh said.
Morozo Oleg Vladimirovich, deputy chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee of the Republic of Belarus, said his country wanted to expand its engagements with Viet Nam in the telecommunications sector in order to modernise the military technical information system.
He went on to inform his host that session would help his country prepare for Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko's coming visit to Viet Nam.
After the talks, the officials signed a technical military co-operation pact. — VNS
