DA NANG (VNS) — Japanese destroyers JS Kirisame (DD104) and JS Asayuki (DD132), serving with the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force, docked yesterday at the central city's Tien Sa Port for their four-day friendship visit.

The two ships, carrying 500 crew members, will have joint training at sea with the Vietnamese Navy, and a range of activities such as a volleyball game with Naval Zone 3 and a futsal (five-per-side football) match with the staff of the Da Nang People's Committee's Office.

The sailors and officers of the Japanese ships will also host visits by Vietnamese and Japanese business associations and agencies.

A farewell ceremony for the two ships will be held on Sunday.
