Viet Nam prioritises partnership with Russia

HA NOI (VNS) — Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has told Russian Ambassador to Viet Nam Konstantin Vnukov that Viet Nam always attaches great attention to developing the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia.

Meeting the new Russian Ambassador in Ha Noi on March 23, he stated that fostering that friendship and partnership with Russia is one of the priorities in Viet Nam's foreign policy.

The Party leader expressed his delight at the progress in the Viet Nam-Russia relationship in all fields.

He wished the diplomat a successful working tenure in Viet Nam, contributing to further fostering the friendship and all-round cooperation between the two countries for mutual benefits.

On his part, Ambassador Vnukov vowed that he will do his utmost to make contributions to the growth of the Viet Nam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership.— VNA/VNS
