VN - Qatar look to boost multi-faceted co-operation

HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam attached great importance to improving its multi-faceted friendship and co-operation with Qatar, especially in the fields of trade and investment, Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh told a visiting delegation from the Gulf state.

During a reception yesterday for the assistant of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammed Bin Abdullah Bin Mutib Al Rumaihi, he said the two countries should attempt to reinforce the implementation of signed agreements, especially those inked during a visit to Qatar by Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc last December.

Minh said Viet Nam hoped to receive Qatar's Prime Minister on an official visit and reiterated an invitation for Qatar's Minister of Foreign Affairs to visit Viet Nam.

Mohammed Bin Abdullah Bin Mutib Al Rumaihi appreciated Viet Nam's achievements in national construction and development; asserting that Qatar treasured its multi-faceted co-operation with Viet Nam. He asked Viet Nam to continue its co-operation with Qatar in the fields of trade, investment, agriculture and labour. — VNS
