HA NOI (VNS) — Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung yesterday received Danish Minister for Trade and Development Cooperation Mogens Jensen, assuring him that the Government always facilitated operations of foreign enterprises, including Danish firms working in Viet Nam.

The PM said he was fully confident that the early ratification of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement and the free trade agreement between Viet Nam and the European Union (EU) would open up new opportunities for Viet Nam and the EU, including Denmark.

He also asked for Denmark's continued official development assistance to Viet Nam, especially for climate change response and environmental protection.

The host also expressed his wish that Denmark help the Vietnamese expatriate community assimilate into its society.

Minister Jensen, for his part, affirmed that Denmark always valued co-operation with Viet Nam across sectors and hoped that the upcoming Viet Nam-EU FTA would boost economic development in both countries.

The minister reiterated his willingness to continue supporting Viet Nam in climate change response, environmental protection and green technology and vowed to assist the Vietnamese community living in Denmark. — VNS
