PM hopes for Norwegian ODA in climate change fight

HA NOI (VNS) — Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said he wanted Norway to continue granting official development assistance (ODA) to Viet Nam to help it deal with climate change and prevent natural disasters.

Receiving the newly-accredited Norwegian Ambassador to Viet Nam, Siren Gjerme Erikse, in Ha Noi yesterday, the PM said he was delighted at the development of bilateral co-operation and the determination of both sides to deepen it in the future.

The Norwegian Ambassador pledged to do her utmost to coordinate with Vietnamese ministries and agencies in implementing agreements reached between the two countries. — VNS
