HCM CITY (VNS) — HCM City wanted to strengthen ties with countries around the world, including the Republic of Vanuatu, Chaiman of the city's People's Committeen Le Hoang Quan said when receiving Vanuatu Prime Minister Joe Natuman yesterday.

Quan said the city would like to help Vanuatu on issues of mutual concern, especially in the fields of agriculture, aquacultural production and the production of birds' nests.

Natuman said he was impressed with the development of the city. He said the signing of a memorandum by the two former French colonies was an opportunity to boost links in the fields of agriculture and health.

He said he believed that this partnership would also promote the relationship between HCM City and Vanuatu, especially in the areas of trade and investment. — VNS
