HA NOI (VNS) — National Assembly Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu said he hopes the legislative bodies of Viet Nam and Kuwait will share experiences in law-making.
At a meeting in Ha Noi yesterday with a delegation from the Kuwait-Viet Nam Friendship Parliamentarians Group, led by Chairman Khalil Abdulla Ali, Luu said the two sides should also strengthen their support for each other at regional and international parliamentary forums.
He said he was pleased at the growing co-operation between Viet Nam and Kuwait.
Luu thanked Kuwait for supporting Viet Nam's responses to natural disaster and providing preferential loans for infrastructure projects.
He said he hoped the two sides would continue regular exchanges of high-level delegations and boost their partnership in the fields of economics, trade and development assistance.
Khalil Abdulla Ali said his delegation's visit to Viet Nam was the first of its kind.
He said Kuwait was ready to enhance ties with Viet Nam and the links between Viet Nam and Arabian countries. — VNS
