VIENTIANE (VNS) — Viet Nam and Laos have agreed to enhance their collaboration on religious issues.

They intend to do this by organising regular meetings to share information about the state management of religion.

This agreement was made during talks yesterday in Vientiane between Deputy Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Bui Thanh Ha, and Vice President of the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC), Chanthavong Senamatmontry.

The two sides will step up collaboration on religious issues, focusing on improving links between Buddhist organisations.

The two countries will also enhance ties between their younger generations, teaching them about the special friendship and solidarity between the two countries. — VNS
