HA NOI (VNS) — Human resources training was critical for judicial reform, President Truong Tan Sang said at a working session between the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform and leaders of the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuracy.

There were not enough judicial officers at district levels and their professional skills were weak, he said.

As Head of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform, he also asked to institutionalise the central role of the court and the procuracy in the Laws on the Organisation of the People's Court and the Procuracy.

He asked the court and procuracy sectors to enhance communications regarding the Constitution and examine judicial reform results over the past eight years to draw lessons for the future. — VNS
