NA Vice Chairwoman receives UAE ambassador

HA NOI (VNS) — National Assembly (NA) Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan hosted a reception for Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Vietnam, Khalid Ibrahim Abdulaziz Shohail Al-Qahtani, in Ha Noi on August 20.

 

Praising great efforts and achievements made by the UAE's people in their national construction and development, Vice Chairwoman Ngan affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to further fostering traditional friendship with the UAE.

The UAE Ambassador congratulated Vietnam on its hosting of the 132nd Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly scheduled for March, 2015.

The host and guest concurred that there are huge potential for the two sides to optimise their cooperation, especially in trade, investment, and labour.

They also underlined the need to bolster win-win cooperation through visit exchanges and mutual support at international forums, as well as increase the sharing of law-making experience.

They agreed that the two countries will work closely to bring their two-way trade to 5 billion USD in 2014.

The NA Vice Chairwoman called on investors from the UAE to pour more investment into projects in Vietnam.—VNA
