National Assembly official welcomes delegation from Timor Leste

HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam has agreed to sell rice to Timor Leste, said National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan at a meeting in Ha Noi meeting yesterday with Deputy Chairman of the Timor Leste National Parliament, Adriano do Nascimento.

The Timorese is leading a delegation from its Committee on Constitutional Affairs, Justice, Public Administration, Local Power and Anti-Corruption.

Nascimento said Timor Leste welcomed Vietnamese investors, adding that his visit was to learn about Viet Nam's experience in drafting law on land and discussing joint work at parliamentary forums, regionally and globally.

Ngan expressed hope for stronger bilateral friendship and co-operation in legislation, exchange of high-level visits and professional experience.

The same day, Deputy Chairman of the NA's Economic Commission, Mai Xuan Hung, held a working session with Carmelita Caetano Moniz, President of the Committee on Constitutional Affairs, Justice, Public Administration, Local Power and Anti-Corruption . — VNS
