HA NOI (VNS)— The Government Office will increase co-operation with ministries, agencies and localities to carry out the Government Resolution on tasks and solutions for the 2014 socio-economic development plan and budget estimate.

Also, the office will provide more consultations in service of building, managing and supervising the implementation of the Government's and Prime Minister's programmes and tasks.

These were announced by officials during an online meeting held yesterday to review their accomplishments in 2013 and work to be carried out this year.

The office will also cooperate with the Ministry of Justice to help the Government build plans and increase supervision over the development of laws, ordinances and legal documents guiding the implementation of laws, as well as improve the examination of projects and drafts to ensure the feasibility of enforcing legal documents.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung praised the achievements made by the Government Office in 2013, which he said contributed to the development of the nation's economy, as well as society as a whole.

However, he said, the office should be more active in providing consultations and helping the Government and the Prime Minister in the management of tasks.

Further, he asked the office to increase supervision and promote construction of laws, ordinances and related legal documents.

The office should also focus on submitting recommendations from ministries, agencies, localities, businesses and citizens to Government leaders and quickly propose solutions to have appropriate measures to respond to concerns.

Dung also urged the Government Office to become more active in providing information for the press and citizens about Government activities. — VNS
