President sends condolences to Vladimir Putin

HA NOI (VNS)  — President Truong Tan Sang yesterday conveyed the nation's condolences to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin over two deadly terrorist attacks in the southern city of Volgograd.

The blasts rocked a trolleybus and a railway station in the city on December 29 and 30, leaving at least 31 people dead and many others injured.

Also yesterday, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Luong Thanh Nghi said Viet Nam strongly condemns the attacks and wants those responsible brought to justice. — VNS
