HCM City (VNS) — HCM City will try its best to strengthen cooperation with Australia's Northern Territory in areas of mutual interest, Chairman of the HCM City People's Committee Le Hoang Quan said.

He was receiving visiting Chief Minister of Australia's Northern Territory Government Adam Granham Giles in HCM City yesterday.

Quan stressed that the two sides still had great potential for cooperation in all areas.

Giles said his visit aimed to determine what countries his region would promote trade ties with in the future.

Ho Chi Minh City's strong development and improved living standards were good conditions for Australia's Northern Territory to develop trade with the city, he noted.

He expressed his wish for the municipal authorities to facilitate Australian businesses' operations in the city while affirming that his region would provide the best conditions for firms from Viet Nam. — VNS
